I n 2002, the Plowshares Collaborative was founded by Earlham, Goshen and Manchester Colleges and funded by a grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. Out of this collaboration, the Indianapolis Peace Institute was born. The Institute launched its first off-campus study program in 2004.
This program provides students from around the United States with an opportunity to engage in practical peacebuilding; linking these efforts to their chosen major(s) or career interests. The Institute also works to bulid peace in Indianapolis through its partnerships with community based organizations and other agencies.
Following a name change (from Indianapolis Peace House to Indianapolis Peace Institute) and new leadership, the Institute sought to update their brand. The logo was redesigned through a student project at the University of Notre Dame, and we were enlisted to create a website, displays and brochures.
Our key goals were to increase enrollment, attract donors, and involve community partners. Materials would: (1) promote Indianapolis, (2) establish the Institute as a serious, academic program, and (3) convey warmth and youthful energy. The first complete component—a new site—is clean, interactive, attractive, and useful. Launch Site. |
